Call for Feedback – Draft Street Closure Application Policy

Posted on

The streets of Cumberland are closed to host many events each and every year. Because these streets are public streets, there is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes before these streets can be closed for events.

To make this work easier, a draft Special Event Road Closure Policy has been prepared, and the Village is now seeking comment from members of the public, local business owners, and organizers who host Street Events, to comment on the draft policy. More information about the draft policy is available here.

Comments and feedback will be received until August 30. The Street Event Consultation Feedback Form is available online or for pick up at the Village hall office located at 2673 Dunsmuir Avenue.

To learn more about feedback received during this consultation process, please attend the Village Hall meeting at 7:00pm on Monday September 15, where there will be an opportunity to discuss the draft Street Closure Application policy.

If you have any questions, please call 250 336-3005 to speak with Jaclyn, Deputy Corporate Officer. You can also email Jaclyn with your questions or completed feedback forms: jcasler@nullcumberland.ca
