Dog Licences

Dog licences are valid from January 1 to December 31. Licences for the coming year can be purchased starting November 1.

Dog licences help to ensure a safe return if your dog goes exploring, supports animal control in the Village, and provides important data.

Dogs Under One Year of Age

Dogs over three months of age must be licenced and wear their tag. The licence fee for a unaltered dog under one year of age is now $10.

Application and Fees

Ways to Apply:

  1. You can apply for a dog licence at the Village office and at Cumberland Recreation. Find operating hours for the Village Office and Cumberland Recreation.
  2. You can complete the Dog Licence application and submit by email to info@nullcumberland.ca or drop off at the Village Office drop box or Cumberland Recreation with payment. Staff will contact you to pick up your dog tag.

Licence Fees

Spayed/neutered: $10 per dog

Dogs under one year of age: $10 per dog

Unspayed/unneutered one year of age and older: $30 per dog
