The Village of Cumberland invites applications for the temporary full-time Parks and Grounds Worker II position within the Village’s Parks Department, beginning in May and ending in December 2024 or upon the return of the incumbent.
The Parks and Grounds Worker II completes general duties related to the maintenance, operation, and development of parks, trails, greenways, sports fields, gardens, street trees, boulevards, natural areas, and other municipal grounds. We are seeking energetic applicants who are comfortable working individually and within a team, and are willing to learn new skills that are important to the day-to-day operations of a small but vibrant community.
The successful applicant will be required to have a valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract, as well as a minimum of a one-year diploma or certificate in horticulture, arboriculture, or landscape management.
