Water Spray Park Extended Hours

In order to provide residents with relief from the extreme heat, the hours of operation of the Village Park Spray Park have been extended to 10 am to 9 pm during this extreme weather event. These revised hours will go into effect beginning Friday, June 25, ending Wednesday, June 30 subject to a return to more normal weather conditions.

Typical hours of the Spray Park are 10 am to 7 pm, May long weekend to Labour Day. Find out more about Village Park.

Heat Wave Tips from Environment Canada:

  • Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place.
  • Check on older family, friends and neighbours. Make sure they are cool and drinking water
  • Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
  • Watch for the symptoms of heat illness: dizziness/fainting; nausea/vomiting; rapid breathing and heartbeat; extreme thirst; decreased urination with unusually dark urine.
  • Outdoor workers should take regularly scheduled breaks in a cool place.
