Construction Started on Camp Road Water Main and New Ground Water Source

Posted on

Construction of a new underground water main on Dunsmuir Avenue (Camp Road) and a new ground water source control building adjacent to Comox Lake Road is expected to commence on October 15, 2012.

The new Coal Creek well will increase water capacity for the Village in line with the Village’s priority of establishing an adequate and high quality source of water for the current and future residents of the Village. This work is related to the Coal Valley Estates Ltd. Phase 4 and 4A subdivision application for land located north of Camp Road.

At its meeting on September 10, Council awarded the contract for the Coal Creek well development and the West Dunsmuir (Camp Road) water main upgrades to Knappett Industries.
