Development Cost Charge Bylaw Now Under Review

Posted on

The Village of Cumberland invites you to attend a public information meeting to provide feedback on proposed changes to the current Development Cost Charges (DCC) rates.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, July 25th from 7-9 PM in the Village of Cumberland Council Chambers located next door to the Village office.

Development cost charges may be imposed by a local government for the purpose of providing funds to assist the local government to pay the capital costs of

  • providing, constructing, altering or expanding sewage, water, drainage and highway facilities, other than off-street parking facilities, and
  • providing and improving park land

to service, directly or indirectly, the development for which the charge is being imposed.

View the proposed DCC rates bylaw that received first reading from Council on June 24th, and provide feedback either by email or by written submission.

Comments will be received up to August 14, 2013 and can be submitted to: Rob Crisfield, Manger of Operations, by email or to PO Box 340, Cumberland BC, V0R 1S0.
