High Fire Danger Rating
Posted on
Cumberland Fire Chief Mike Williamson would like you take note that High Fire Danger Ratings are now in effect.
A high rating means that Forest fuels are very dry and the fire risk is serious. New fires may start easily, burn vigorously, and challenge fire suppression efforts. Extreme caution must be used in any forest activities.
In the case of any open burning and industrial activities, make sure there is a adequate water supply nearby.
If you have any questions contact the Village at (250) 336-2291.
