Cumberland Fire Rescue is seeking new recruits to join a group of dedicated, paid, volunteer, on-call members.
The fire department is looking for people that live in Cumberland or in the surrounding area who would like to contribute to their community. Cumberland Fire Rescue makes Cumberland safer by responding to fires and other incidents, and protecting residents and property.
Fire Chief Mike Williamson has been a member for 42 years. He says, “It is a pleasure to serve the community. No matter how bad the situation is, it has been gratifying to be a part of a great group of volunteers that are all dedicated to helping our neighbours, families and visitors.”
Fire training will begin this fall, so if you would like to give back to your community, now is the time to start! Stop by the Fire Hall at Dunsmuir and 1st Street for more information about the challenging and rewarding opportunities with the Cumberland Fire Rescue Society.Search again
