Notice of Applications for Scrutineers

At the 2018 general local election to be held on October 20, 2018 electors of the Village of Cumberland will be voting on the following question:

“Are you in favour of ‘Wastewater Upgrade Project Loan Authorization Bylaw, No. 1084, 2018’ to authorize the Village of Cumberland to borrow up to $4,400,000, including interest, over a period not exceeding 20 years in order to finance the construction of an upgraded lagoon wastewater treatment plant?” YES or NO

Scrutineers for the question and against the question must be appointed if applications are received. Only persons entitled to vote as electors are entitled to act as scrutineers for the assent voting.

Applications to volunteer as scrutineers will be received by email to rparker@nullcumberland.ca (you will receive an email to confirm receipt) and by delivery to the Village office from September 20, 2018 at 8:30am to October 1, 2018 at 4:30 pm. You can obtain information on the requirements and procedures for making an application and find an application form by

  • Visiting the Village office during regular office hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, except holidays
