New Designated Accessible Parking

Posted on

With support from the Accessibility Committee, the Village is working to improve on-street accessible reserved parking spots in the Village commercial core. Watch for signage with the new accessible icon on parking spots that are reserved for drivers or their passengers with a physical disability and that have a valid parking placard for people with disabilities. Watch for blue curb paint on these new spaces in the spring.

There are also accessible parking spots in the parking lots behind the post office for customers of Canada Post and behind the library for library clients.

Parking in a reserved accessible parking spot without a physical disability and a placard is subject to a $100 ticket.
