Liquor Licence Change Application for 2714 Dunsmuir Avenue

The Cumberland Hotel (2714 Dunsmuir Avenue) has made an application to change the hours of operation with regards to an existing liquor license. The application to extend hours has been referred to the Village of Cumberland for review. Public comments received will be summarized in a report to Council which will be considered at the December 10, 2018 Council meeting.

The Village is seeking the views of residents in regard to the application. A Public Notice with the particulars of the application has been sent to surrounding residents and business owners. You may provide written comment on this application to the Village office by mail, by email to info@nullcumberland.ca, or by fax to 250-336-2321. All submissions should be received by 4:30pm on Friday, November 30, 2018 in order to be included in the report to Council. Submissions may be received at the Village office until 4:30 on December 10, 2018. Please include your name and residential/business address in your correspondence and be aware that they will form part of the public record.

At the meeting, Council is required to consider:

  1. The potential for noise if the application is approved.
  2. The impact on the community if the application is approved.
  3. The views of the residents and the Council’s comments and recommendations respecting the views of the residents and business owners.
  4. Council’s recommendation with respect to whether the amendment should be approved.
