Notice of Project – Ḵwax̱diz’dzas Welcome Poles

Construction works will occur in Peace Park from Monday, June 12 through June 19th in preparation of the installation of the Ḵwax̱diz’dzas welcome poles.
Works will involve minor drilling and the construction of the required concrete pole foundations.
The welcome poles were created for the Ḵwax̱diz’dzas Cumberland Affordable Housing Project and will stand in the park until the completion of the housing project.
A celebration to honour the welcome poles and the ancestral lands on which the Village is located will take place on National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21st).
