Notice of Proposed Land Disposition

The Village of Cumberland intends to dispose of a 400 m2 area of land currently part of the South Wellington Colliery Railway Trail to to Tim Mitchell, the owner of the adjacent property at 3225 Second Street, by way of fee simple transfer. The land disposition will not impact trail access to the public.

In exchange for the land and $50,000, the Village would receive a 6 m wide statutory right of way to provide upgraded overhead electrical service to the community drinking water treatment plant. A map of the proposed disposition area and the draft statutory right of way may be viewed at the Village office during regular office hours.
