Outdoor Water Restrictions Now in Effect

Posted on

Stage 1 restrictions on watering with a sprinkler are in effect from May 1 to September 30 each year.

The best time to water is early in the morning or in the evening to help conserve soil moisture. Using mulch in your garden and top dressing your lawn with organics will also help keep the moisture in the soil so you can water less.

Did you know that your lawn only needs 2.5cm of water a week? Water deeply and less frequently to help develop deep root systems.

Find out more about when you can water during Stage 1 restrictions and how to reduce your outdoor water use.
