Reminder: Stage 1 Water Restriction are in Effect

Our water use can increase by 50% in summer and early fall, largely due to lawn watering. Watering regulations are an effective way to help us use our drinking water wisely.
The Village of Cumberland water system is currently under annual Stage 1 water restrictions, which come into effect every year on May 1st.
During Stage 1 Restrictions:
A person may only use a sprinkler to water a lawn as follows:
- An even numbered address – Between the hours of 4 am to 10 am and 7 pm to 10 pm on Wednesday and Saturday.
- An odd numbered address – Between the hours of 4 am to 10 am and 7 pm to 10 pm on Thursday and Sunday.
