Traffic Counts Happening This Week in Cumberland

Coal Valley Estates is undertaking traffic counts at a number of key intersections in the community this week. The information will be used to examine existing traffic volumes and help the Village plan how future growth will affect the transportation system. This is known as a traffic impact assessment.
These counts will be completed by cameras attached to lamp standards or tripods that scan passing vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians. The cameras are low resolution and do not collect licence plate numbers or recognizable images.
