Cumberland Recreation Code of Conduct
As a patron of Cumberland Recreation, I agree to . . .
- wear gym shoes and a shirt at all times. Clean and appropriate footwear and activewear are required while using the facility;
- refrain from dropping weights, swearing or otherwise behaving in a disruptive manner;
- treat all patrons, staff and others with respect;
- wipe down all equipment after use;
- use equipment in a safe and proper manner and ask staff for assistance if needed;
- return all equipment to its proper location when finished;
- keep floors clean and clear of trip hazards, and use supplied hooks for personal items;
- bring no food, gum or candy into the fitness studio or other recreation areas;
- limit time on cardio machines to 30 minutes when others are waiting; and
- report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to staff.
Cumberland Recreation will not tolerate verbal or physical abuse of any kind
The Village of Cumberland’s Parks and Facilities Conduct & Compliance Policy outlines the type of behaviour that is expected of all patrons and users of Cumberland’s parks and facilities. It also provides a universal code of conduct from which the Cumberland Recreation code of conduct is derived, and prescribes guidelines for disciplinary action in the case of policy violations.
