Options on how to make a payment to the Village:

1. Through Your Financial Institution – For utility bill and property tax payments only

Important! Allow at least five business days for processing.

Set up as a new payee by searching “Cumberland” then choose

  • Village of Cumberland Utility (only for utility accounts)
  • Village of Cumberland Property Taxes (only property taxes)
  • Cumberland (Village of) Property Taxes (only property taxes)

Account Number

Your account is located at the top right hand corner of both your utility bill and your property tax notice – it’s called your Folio No. on your tax notice.

  • Your utility account number is eleven digits long. Please enter the full eleven digits excluding the decimal.
  • Your property tax account number is eight digits long. Please enter the full eight digits excluding the decimal.

Selling and Buying a Property within Cumberland?

Account numbers are associated with the property, not the owner. If you sell your property and purchase another property within Cumberland, you must delete the payee associated your previous address and add a new payee with your new account number.

2. Drop Box at the Village Office

You can drop off a cheque through the drop box in the Village office door at 2673 Dunsmuir Avenue anytime.

3. Online Credit Card Payment

Important! Allow at least five business days for processing.

You can make payment* through the third-party credit card service for the following:

    • utility bills
    • property taxes
    • dog licence fees
    • business licence fees
    • permit application fees
    • bylaw infraction tickets

Account/Folio Number

Your property tax account number is located at the top right corner of your tax notice, next to the heading “Folio No”. Your property tax account number is eight digits long. Please enter the full eight digits without the decimal.

4. By Mail or Courier

Please send your payment early to make sure we receive it by the due date. Mail to Box 340, Cumberland, BC V0R 1S0 using Canada Post or courier to the office at 2673 Dunsmuir Avenue. The date of payment is the date of receipt by the Village, not the date of postmark.

5. In Person

Pay in person at the Village Office, 2673 Dunsmuir between the hours of Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
