Project Update: Jump Park Earthworks

The earthworks and site prep portion of the jump park project in Village Park will be resuming on April 21, 2017. There was a small amount of asbestos-containing cement pipe (AC pipe) found in the fill that was transported over from the Dunsmuir Project last fall.
As a precaution, the Village will have Glacier Environmental onsite supervising removal of the top layer of fill. This fill will be disposed of in accordance with Worksafe BC procedures. During the construction, a portion of the Wellington Colliery Trail will be closed off and a detour route provided.
Please respect the closure, as large machinery will be onsite and visibility may be limited.
