Christmas Truck Parade and Road Closure December 2, 2017

Christmas in the Village and the Cumberland Truck Parade are taking place in Village Square and on Dunsmuir Avenue on Saturday December 2nd from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
At 6:00 pm the truck parade will be led by Santa from Ulverston Avenue to First Street, up First Street to the Cumberland Lodge and back down to Dunsmuir Ave where the trucks will park and be on display till 7:45pm.
Santa will stop at Village Square to visit with the kids and share hot apple cider, cookies, and crafts hosted by the Cumberland Recreation Department. Local businesses will be open late for holiday shopping , warm and festive drinks and food, and to sell voting ballots for the best truck. Each ballot will not only vote for the best truck, but it will be entered into a draw for spectators to win great prizes. All proceeds from the ballots go to the “Kids Should Play” local charity founded by The Goat Radio Station and Comox Valley Dodge.
Dunsmuir Avenue/Royston Road will be closed between Ulverston Avenue and Fourth Street from 5:55 to 6:30 pm, and Dunsmuir Avenue will be closed from Fourth to First Avenue from 5:55 to 8:00 pm.
