Posted on
Residents are asked to stay away from streams, creeks, ditches, culverts and other open water as they are flowing at flood levels and some bank erosion and undermining may occur.
Water levels at Comox Lake level continue to rise and are expected to rise by another half meter or more by this evening. This has impacted some of the cabins situated closer to the lake at the Comox Land Corporation.
The Village is monitoring erosion to road infrastructure, at the water reservoirs, at Cumberland Lake Park, at water levels at Comox Lake.
Residents are asked to help prevent flooding by removing leaves and debris from catch basins on the roads and alleys as well as drains on your property.
