Free Yard Debris Drop-Off

This free program runs from October 1 to November 15, 2026, to help residents dispose of dry, combustible material from around their home — an important step in reducing wildfire risk.
Residents may bring leaves, grass clippings, branches up to three inches in diameter, and plants. Materials can be loose or placed in paper yard-waste bags. Materials not accepted include food waste, plastic bags, rocks, concrete, root balls, stumps, and invasive plants.

The program is available to residential users only. Commercial operators are not eligible.
Drop-off dates: October 1 to November 15, 2026
Time: Daily, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Location: 1301 Knight Road, Comox
Please note that the drop-off site is across the road from the previous site, and service is weather dependent.
