Call for Heritage Commission Volunteers

Are you interested in Cumberland’s history? Would you like to help develop heritage conservation strategies for the community? Cumberland Council is seeking volunteers on its Heritage Commission.

The mandate of the Commission is to advise Council on heritage buildings, structures, features, and landmarks; to undertake and support authorized heritage activities such as education, research, and events; and to help develop a management plan of heritage resources. Council may appoint up to twelve members to the Committee which will meet monthly at least ten times a year.

Appointed members will be invited to attend a Community Heritage Commission Networking Conference, hosted by Heritage BC, in Nanaimo on Saturday, November 24.
