Posted on
The Council of the Village of Cumberland will consider adoption of “Council Procedure Amendment Bylaw, No. 1153, 2021” in order to allow for electronic meetings, to permit up to two members to attend an in-person meeting through electronic communication, to update how notices and agendas are provided to members of Council, and to allow closed portions of regular Council meetings to begin at 4 p.m., along with associated amendments.
Under the proposed bylaw, electronic meetings may take place in an emergency, special circumstance, or public health event that prevents or restricts members from being able to physically meet in one location as determined by the Corporate Officer, or as resolved by Council.
