Recreational Fires Permitted with a Permit

Posted on

A permit from the Village office is required for small recreational fires. Permits are valid for the calendar year and are free of charge.

Permits are not valid if when there is a burning ban in effect and permits may be revoked by the Fire Chief.

Be safe and make sure your fire is:

  • no larger than 0.5m in diameter
  • contained within a CSA approved fire appliance or a fire ring fitted with a screen
  • located at least 1.5m from any vegetation or combustible material
  • located at least 3m from any building, structure or fuel supply tank

Burn clean wood and do not burn garbage or any prohibited material.
