Residents Can Help Develop a Regional Housing Needs Assessment

Posted on

Cumberland residents are encouraged to complete a short five to ten minute Housing Needs Assessment Survey now open on the CVRD website. The purpose of this survey is to collect local data to understand housing supply, demand and the provision of housing across the housing spectrum.

This information will help communities to identify gaps and address additional factors that may be impacting housing supply, such as short-term accommodations and speculation.

The work will build on Cumberland’s 2016 Housing Need and Issues Summary.

The survey will be used to develop a housing needs assessment report with specific community profiles . A regional community forum will take place to review findings and discuss options for action.

You can find more information on the project and next steps on the CVRD website.
