Renew Your Business Licence Before December 31

Businesses should have received a renewal notice for the 2026 licence year.
Please renew your business licence by December 31 2025 to avoid a $75 late fee. Licences that remain unpaid on January 31, 2026 will be cancelled and a new application will be required. Find out about payment options at Make A Payment.
If you have not received your renewal invoice, please contact the Village Office at 250-336-2291 or info@cumberland.ca. The office will be closed from December 24 at noon and reopen on January 5 at 9am.
New for 2026, Update Business Regulation and Licence Fees
The the new Business Licensing and Regulation Bylaw No. 1239 updates and consolidates existing regulations to modernize the bylaw, provide clearer definitions, incorporate additional business types, clarify administrative processes, and align with current provincial legislation.
The Bylaw also includes a revised fee structure to better align with the cost to the Village of administering the business licencing system. A level playing field for businesses in the community is an important part of supporting robust economic development and guiding future growth.
