Stage 3 Water Restrictions Remain in Effect in September
Posted on
Water levels in Cumberland’s drinking water reservoirs remain below seasonal levels. Residents are asked to continue to conserve water to ensure a safe drinking water supply.
The following is prohibited under Stage 3 Restrictions:
- watering lawns, including newly seeded and sodded lawns
- washing vehicles or boats
- filling hot tubs and garden ponds, or running non-circulating fountains
Trees, shrubs and vegetables may be watered between 4am and 10am and between 7pm and 10 pm with micro or drip-irrigation, a hand-held container, hose equipped with a shut-off nozzle.
