This is to provide notice that the Council of the Village of Cumberland will consider first reading of Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1215, 2025 at the Council meeting on Monday, April 28, 2025.
Subject Property: Lot A, District Lot 24, Nelson District, Plan VIP72022
In general terms, the purpose of Bylaw 1215 is to create a new mixed-use zone, called MU-2 Mixed Use Two, to permit an apartment building with commercial units on the ground floor, as well as four-plexes and townhouses.
Time and Date: April 28, 2025 at 5:30 p.m.

This notice is given pursuant to sections 464(3) and 467 of the Local Government Act. A public hearing is not permitted under the Act since the proposed Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1215, 2025 is consistent with the Official Community Plan and the sole purpose of the bylaw is to permit a development where the residential component accounts for at least half of the gross floor area of all buildings and other structures.
