Weigh In On Waste: Draft Solid Waste Management Plan is Ready to Share
Posted on
The Comox Strathcona Waste Management team is updating its Solid Waste Management Plan (SWMP).
An SWMP is a long-term plan for managing and reducing waste in the region – and it requires input from the community to determine the best steps forward.
The Comox Strathcona Waste Management (CSWM) invites the public to review the draft plan, goals and targets, watch a short informative video and share feedback between April 7 – 24, 2026. Weigh In On Waste: www.cswm.ca/swmp
We have reached the last step pf the process: Step 4. Thank you to everyone who participated in a previous step and submitted feedback. Your suggestions and input have helped to shape the draft plan.
Here’s how you can get involved, April 7-24:
- Read the draft plan.
- Watch the informational video about the draft plan.
- Participate by leaving your feedback.
- Post questions for the project team to answer.
