2019 Road and Utility Construction

The Village of Cumberland

Work is set to begin on three public works projects by the Village’s contractor Lueco Construction Inc.

1. Water and sanitary sewer upgrades, and new storm drainage in the lane between Maryport and Penrith Avenues, from Egremont Road to Silecroft Road. This project will start on Monday, May 6, 2019
2. Roadwork with some minor water and storm sewer upgrades on Allen Avenue between Fifth and Sixth Streets – expected to start in late May or June.
3. Road reconstruction along with new storm drainage on Egremont Road from Windermere to Ulverston Avenue – this project will take place over the summer months once school is out.

The total cost of these capital projects is over $900,000 with funding coming from the Village’s reserves and from development cost charges.
