Employment Opportunities: Utility Person I + Leisure Buddies

The Village of Cumberland invites applications for either the Public Works Temporary Full-Time Utility Person I or the Casual Recreation Leisure Buddy position.
The full-time temporary position of Utility Person I commencing October 2022 until January of 2023 or the return of the incumbent.
The Utility I position, under the direction of the Public Works Foreman and Utility II, assists with operating, maintaining, and repairing the water supply, wastewater, and storm collection
systems, equipment and related facilities of the Village of Cumberland – including assisting in the operation of the water treatment plant and wastewater treatment facilities.
The Recreation Leisure Buddies are responsible for successfully integrating a wide range of young participants into a variety of recreation programs. Working alongside program instructors and families, Leisure Buddies help participants enjoy program activities through adaptations to instruction and/or equipment, and by creating a safe and encouraging environment.
Reporting to the Recreation and Culture Supervisor, the Recreation Leisure Buddies will provide 1-on-1 support for children with diverse abilities and enable them to integrate fully into scheduled child/youth programming.
