Road Closure and Noise Bylaw Exemptions for special event May 22-25

Cumberland residents are advised that the Village has approved a street closure and temporary noise control bylaw exemption for a special event this weekend. Here are the details:

Street Closure

On Saturday, May 23, the following temporary street closures will be in effect:

  • Dunsmuir Avenue between Third Street and First Street from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Dunsmuir Avenue between First Street and Egremont Road from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
  • Sutton Road between Dunsmuir Avenue and the gated access to the trail network (Cumberland Community Forest Park) from 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

In addition, 14 diagonal parking spaces along the south side of Dunsmuir Avenue just north of the Village Park sports courts and playground will be closed from Friday, May 22 at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, May 25 at 8:00 p.m.

Noise Bylaw Exemption

A Noise Control Bylaw exemption has been granted for Village Park during the following times:

  • Friday, May 22 from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
  • Monday, May 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
  • Sunday, May 24 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Monday, May 25 from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Please note that a noise bylaw exemption has also been granted for Dunsmuir Avenue on Saturday, May 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
