Village Awarded Active Transportation Grant

The Village was recently awarded $25,685 from the BC Active Transportation Grants Program in order to bolster the upcoming Transportation Master Plan with more detailed planning, community engagement, and designs specific to active transportation.
In securing additional funding from the BC Active Transportation Network Plan grant, the Village will undertake a more extensive and participatory engagement process and the conceptual design of three corridors in the Village to illustrate streetscape and active transportation improvements. The funds would also allow the Village to produce a more detailed concept design within the Transportation Master Plan. This would include more detailed graphics and analysis in support of the corridor design and recommendations on specific active transportation infrastructure improvements.
The Transportation Master Plan process is underway and opportunities for public input will be announced in Spring 2023.
