Annual Utilities System Maintenance (Flushing)

Public Works has begun its annual spring utilities maintenance programs, including:
• Water main flushing
• Storm catch basin cleaning
• Sanitary main flushing
These services will be carried out beginning in April and continuing throughout May, starting with water main flushing.
The flushing of waterlines helps to clean the water distribution system, which in turn helps to keep our water safe for consumption. Flushing may cause some discolouration in the water. If this occurs, please run an outside tap or the COLD water tap in a bathtub until clear. Please be sure to check your water for discolouration prior to doing laundry.
Residents will receive further notice prior to the commencement of sanitary main flushing.
