Volunteers welcome to join Comox Valley Broombusters in Cumberland

Posted on

Warm weather is headed our way and any broom plants that have been slow to flower will be in full bloom in a day or two. If you were waiting to see lots of yellow flowers before you started cutting, your waiting is over. Slap on some sunscreen, grab some loppers and take on a patch of broom!

Saturday May 18 9:30 – noon: Nikkei Park in Cumberland. A new place for us to cut broom! This park is just past the new firehall as you drive into Cumberland on Cumberland Rd. Medium sized broom plants with some larger ones along the adjacent greenways. There is space to park on Third Street or on Kendall Avenue. See map of the park.

As always, thanks to you wonderful group of volunteers!
