Temporary Drainage Work to Address Flooding Issues

The landowner for the Coal Valley Estates has undertaken some minor drainage corrections to conform with the Village Bylaws near the west end of Penrith Avenue and Maryport Avenue. The temporary drainage ditch should address historical flooding issues affecting neighbouring properties and municipal infrastructure on Penrith Avenue.
Representatives from the Village are working with the landowner to resolve these issues. As a result, the landowner does not intend to reinstate access paths onto their lands. Permanent stormwater management infrastructure to manage drainage in this area is a requirement of the landowner as part of the subdivision process.
