BC Accessibility Through Legislation

The Province of BC is seeking feedback in preparation for the development of new laws, standards and policies.to better support people with disabilities to live with dignity and to meaningfully participate in their communities.
Accessibility legislation would empower government, persons with disabilities, and the broader community to work together to identify, remove, and prevent barriers.
The opportunity to provide feedback to the Province will be open from September 16 to November 29, 2019 at 4 pm. Find out how to give feedback on Accessibility Through Legislation including an in person session at the Comox Legion at 1825 Comox Avenue on October 18, 2019 from 5:30 to 8 pm.
The Village of Cumberland plans to submit a formal submission through recommendations from its Accessibility Committee. Residents are encouraged to also provide comments directly to the Village at info@nullcumberland.ca. The Village is seeking comments from individuals with a variety of disabilities.
