Bevan Road Reconstruction on Schedule

Posted on

Paving of the reconstructed portion of Bevan Road is expected to begin the first week of November 2015. Final touches to the project, including shouldering, line painting and clean up, will complete the project in the following weeks with favourable weather. The project is scheduled to be completed and the road re-opened by the end of November 2015.

The reconstruction of a 2 km stretch of Bevan Road from Wellington Road to Pidgeon Lake Road has been taking place since mid-September. Full closure of the road has allowed the project to be completed faster than if the road remained open.

The Comox Valley Waste Management Centre can be accessed through Comox Lake (Logging) Road from Lake Trail Road. View the detour map.

This project is phase I of the Cumberland Road/Bevan Road corridor reconstruction project with funds provided by the Comox Valley Regional District through the Host Community Agreement.
