Canada Post Strike

Posted on

Village residents and businesses may experience delays in receiving notices and other types of correspondence from the Village of Cumberland through the mail due to the Canada Post strike.

eBilling for Utilities and Property Taxes

Sign up for eBilling before the 4th quarter utility billing to make sure you receive your invoice. Non-receipt of a utility bill notice does not exempt a property owner from late fees.

Payments

Cheque payments that are currently in the property of Canada Post will be applied the day they are received by the Village. See alternative payment options.

Suppliers working with the Village

Please send all invoices electronically to ap@nullcumberland.ca. Sign up for EFT payments directly to your bank account by contacting Accounts Payable at ap@nullcumberland.ca. Alternatively, vendors can arrange with Accounts Payable to pick up cheques at the Village Office.

2025 Solid Waste Schedule

The Village is unable to send copies of the 2025 Solid Waste Schedule through Canada Post due to the strike. Pick a copy up from the Village Office or view electronically. Also sign up for notifications about collection on your phone using the Waste Wise App!

Contact the Village Office at 250-336-2291 or info@nullcumberland.ca to receive a copy of your utility bill or business licence renewal that may be stuck in transit due to the strike.
