Cumberland Recognizes Indigenous Peoples Day

The Village encourages all residents to recognize Indigenous Peoples Day and to celebrate the heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of all Indigenous peoples, including members of the K’ómoks First Nation, upon whose unceeded traditional territory we live.

You will see the K’ómoks First Nation flag flying at the Village office in recognition of Indigenous peoples and in support the Village’s relationship with the K’ómoks First Nation based on recognition of rights, respect, cooperation and partnership.
