Cumberland Seeks Funding for Dunsmuir Corridor Project
Posted on
The Village has submitted an application to Building Canada’s Small Communities Program for a $2.77 million project to upgrade and renew underground services though the Dunsmuir corridor.
The project would see new storm sewers, sanitary sewers and water mains installed below Dunsmuir Avenue from Second Street to Seventh Street, as well as in adjacent alleys and side streets in 2016.
If successful, the Building Canada Fund would provide two-thirds of the project funding with the remaining one-third of funding coming from the Village.
