Cumberland Tackles Graffiti
Posted on
Cumberland residents are being asked to help stop graffiti in the Village by reporting any information they may on recent tagging to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. If your tip leads to the identification of one of the people responsible for this vandalism you may be eligible for a reward of up to $2000.
In recent weeks a number of Village of Cumberland properties and facilities have been tagged with graffiti. Graffiti costs the Village taxpayer. Removing the recent tags has cost over $1000 so far.
Reporting graffiti also helps track taggers and helps the Village remove graffiti from Village property early, reducing the negative impact on the community.
Residents can also report tags with their location and a photo to the Village office at info@cumberland.ca or by calling 250-336-2291.
