Ice and Snow Control

Posted on

The temperature is dropping as we get closer to winter. Residents and business owners are asked to keep adjacent sidewalks clear of ice and snow, and are asked to use “concrete-friendly” ice melting products. Sandwich board signs and other decorative items must be removed from the sidewalks when there is snow on the ground to help keep the sidewalks clear for pedestrians.

During snowfall, residents are asked to park vehicles well off the travelled portion of the roadway to allow snow ploughs to clear your road. This will also reduce the chances of damage to your vehicle as snow plough trucks have limited maneuverability.

See our snow and ice page for more information about on snow and ice control in the Village, including snow plough priority routes.
