Join the Village of Cumberland as a Truck Driver/Labourer, where you’ll play an important role in maintaining roads, infrastructure, and public spaces. Reporting to the Public Works Foreman, this position maintains the Village’s roads, utilities, rights-of-way, and other infrastructure and services.
Key responsibilities include
• The safe operation of heavy equipment including but not limited to single axle dump truck, rubber tire backhoe, and street sweeper.
• Winter road maintenance including sanding, snow plowing, and sidewalk snow clearing.
• Labour responsibilities as assigned including assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of all municipal infrastructure such as water, sanitary sewer, roads, parks, and building facilities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
• A minimum of three years’ experience operating equipment, including heavy equipment used in road and utility construction.
• Experience in the repair and maintenance of municipal infrastructure.
• Experience with winter road maintenance operations, including sanding and snow plowing.
