Noise Bylaw Exemption for Special Event in Village Park, June 6-7

Cumberland residents are advised that the Village has approved a temporary noise control bylaw exemption for a special event this weekend June 6th and 7th in Village Park for registered participants.
The exemption allows amplified sound in the park until midnight on Friday and Saturday evening, although it’s expected that noise from the event will wrap up earlier than that. Village staff have worked with the event organizer to mitigate noise impacts as much as possible, such as by ensuring speakers are pointed away from residences.
