Red Dress Day MMIWG2S+ Awareness Day Event, May 5th

For Red Dress Day this Tuesday, May 5, wear red and attend the local MMIWG2S+ Awareness Event organized by Indigenous Women’s Sharing Society and Unbroken Chain.
The afternoon will include speakers, a walk, community education, and more from 12 – 3pm, starting at the Florence Filberg Centre. Everyone is invited to learn about, remember, and honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit+ people and their families.
The MMIWG2S+ Awareness Walk will lead attendees through Downtown Courtenay. This is a day for the community to come together in reflection, strength, and hope.
