Cumberland Recreation Refund Policy

Please note that any withdrawal fee(s) are subject to 5% GST.

Withdrawal fee(s) will be waived if you transfer from one program to another during the same transaction.

Registered Recreation Programs

If we cancel the program, you will receive a full refund with no withdrawal fee.

If you request a refund at least seven prior to the start date of the program, you will receive a full refund less a $10 withdrawal fee.

If you request a refund fewer than seven days before the start date of the program, you will receive a full refund less a $10 withdrawal fee to account credit.

If you request a refund on the first day of the program, or less than 24 hours before the first day, and up to and including the third class/session, you will receive a pro-rated refund less a $10 withdrawal fee to account credit.

If you request a refund after the third class/session, we are unfortunately not able to offer a refund.

If we request a participant be withdrawn due to lack of program compatibility, a pro-rated refund will be issued with no withdrawal fee.

Memberships

  • Memberships are non-refundable except for medical reasons with supporting documentation.
  • Memberships are non-transferable.
  • A one-time extension on memberships can be granted for leaves exceeding two weeks.

If a refund is approved:

  • Credits to your account are processed immediately.
  • Fees paid by Visa or Mastercard will either be refunded to the credit card used for payment within 5 business days or refunded via a cheque that will be mailed or available for pick-up at the Village office within two business days.
  • Fees paid by debit, cash or cheque will be refunded by cheque.
