The Village is excited to announce that it has been awarded $169,000 in funding from the province that will be invested in improvements to Cumberland Lake Park. With over $40,000 also allocated to the park in the Village’s capital budget this year, over $200,000 will be invested in waterfront infrastructure at Lake Park over the next two years.
The project objective is to implement access and layout improvements to the park’s boat launch facility and adjacent waterfront areas. Project planning and design work is ongoing, with further details on design options to be presented to Village Council this spring. The goal is to move to the construction phase of the project later this year and into the 2022 season.
The funding is part of the Community Economic Resilience stream of the province’s Community Economic Recovery Infrastructure Program.
