What To Do with Jack?

The best way to dispose of your Halloween pumpkin is by adding it to your compost bin.
Please do not place pumpkins along highways, roadsides, or on/off ramps. Food waste left in these areas can attract bears and other wildlife, creating safety risks for both animals and drivers.
Place your pumpkin in your compost container and keep it secure until collection on Wednesday, November 4. Bears seeking additional calories are often attracted to pumpkins and jack-o’-lanterns left on front porches or driveways.
